Unfortunately, few of us can pick up a skill immediately and become a master without taking the time to practice. We generally consider these people to be geniuses or prodigies. Perhaps, it is simply that the program that you have choosen for your lesson plans is not capturing and keeping your attention, or that your practice strategy is lacking the stimulation you need. Instead of allowing your motivation to lag, you should re-evaluate and try to learn to play the guitar through a different and more exciting program.
